Laura has a vocal range of the typically known second soprano and has been singing since the age of 7 . Although she isn't professionally trained, years of choral and solo experience under excellent direction has helped her develop her vocals. She has previously sang with choirs alongside the likes of Russell Watson, Katherine Jenkins, Colin Thackery and many more lesser known singers of the theatre and classical music industry.
Laura has a great love for musical theatre which mainly came from having performed in productions in the years of her Summerhill Choral Society membership up until 2017 and then joining Third from the Right Productions in 2019. She also enjoys to watching shows in the West End, local Birmingham theatres and ametuer dramatic societies. Her love for musicals meant she took on the role of leading the Musical Theatre Ensemble in her second academic year at University (2012-2013) and directed and performed an ametuer showcase. Laura has a continuing passion for music, and has previously attended some scratch performances and workshops such as a Come and Sing event hosted by the choral composer Bob Chilcott in May 2017 and a John Rutter Singing Day Masterclass in Birmingham in May 2015. These opportunities help develop Laura's vocal skills. |
